Alison Brie channels her ‘Glow’ character in ‘80s-inspired gold dress

Ruth Wilder would definitely approve.

Alison Brie, who plays the wrestler on Netflix’s “Glow,” made an appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Wednesday night to promote Season 3 wearing an appropriately ’80s-inspired gold sequin dress.

The 36-year-old actress’s Dundas look featured an asymmetrical neckline and one sleeve, topped with a ruffle and a sexy peephole in the neckline. The $1,960 design looks like it came straight off the set of her show — which follows a group of female wrestlers in the 1980s-inspired by a real “Gorgeous Women of Wrestling” league — but it’s one of the most popular looks of the moment.

In fact, models Valery Kaufman and Fiona Briseño, as well as actress La La Anthony, have all worn the same look this summer.

Still, the asymmetrical sleeve is reminiscent of Brie’s costume while in character as Zoya the Destroyer, as well as of the tiny gold lamé dress she wears to a party at the beginning of the third season.

In real life, Brie paired the shimmery look with a sleek, straight bob and bangs, a dramatic smoky eye and black Jimmy Choo sandals.
