Dylan Farrow blasts Scarlett Johansson for defending Woody Allen

Dylan Farrow has words for Scarlett Johansson.

Farrow, 34, took the actress to task on Twitter after she vehemently defended Woody Allen over Farrow’s claims of childhood sexual abuse.

“Because if we’ve learned anything from the past two years it’s that you definitely should believe male predators who ‘maintain their innocence’ without question,” Farrow, whose parents are Allen and Mia Farrow, tweeted in response to the Los Angeles Times’ coverage of Johansson’s new interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“Scarlett has a long way to go in understanding the issue she claims to champion.”

Johansson, who has starred in a number of Allen’s films, recently told The Hollywood Reporter, “I love Woody. I believe him, and I would work with him anytime.”

Johansson, 34, famously voiced her support for the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements early on, calling out James Franco at the 2018 Women’s March for wearing a Time’s Up pin to that year’s Golden Globes only to be accused of sexual misconduct. (He later denied the accusations).

“How could a person publicly stand by an organization that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?” Johansson said in the speech. “I want my pin back, by the way.”

Johansson has yet to respond to the backlash.
