Nicki Minaj announces she’s retiring to ‘have my family’

That’s the end of that super bass.

Nicki Minaj announced on Twitter on Thursday that she’s retiring.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” the “Starships” rapper, 36, tweeted. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. ✅ Love you for LIFE 😘♥️🦄.”

Her fans, the Barbz, immediately reacted with shock and dismay, hoping it was all a joke.

Minaj’s stunning announcement comes weeks after she said on her “Queen Radio” show that she was going to marry fiancé Kenneth Petty soon. At the time of her proclamation, she had 80 days left to tie the knot or she’d have to apply for a new marriage license.
