Wendy Williams ‘playing nice’ so Kevin Hunter will sign divorce papers

Wendy Williams just wants to be divorced already.

Although the talk show host, 55, has admonished estranged husband Kevin Hunter for having a baby with mistress Sharina Hudson, she has maintained — publicly — that she still has “love” for him and that he “will always be my family.” However, an insider tells Page Six that her kind declarations are simply a tactic to get Hunter to finalize the divorce.

“Wendy is playing nice so that he can sign the divorce papers and she can move on with her new, single life,” the source said.

They are the parents of 19-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr.

Williams recently said she’s dating “many men” after filing for divorce this spring.

Though Williams claimed on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” on Sunday that she “doesn’t know” Hudson, multiple sources confirmed to Page Six that she had previously met Hudson at a party she and her estranged husband hosted years ago.

When Williams eventually found out about Hunter’s affair with 33-year-old Hudson, our insider says the TV host and Hunter “came to an agreement” in which Hunter could carry on with the affair but not have any children.

“She said, ‘Don’t embarrass me,'” our source recalled.

Hunter and Hudson welcomed a baby girl in March. Williams filed for divorce in April.
