Rosario Dawson supports Cory Booker at fundraiser

After missing boyfriend Cory Booker’s first two debates because of her filming schedule, actress Rosario Dawson made a surprise appearance at a fundraiser for the presidential hopeful on Monday night.

An attendee at the “Women for Cory” event, held in Montclair, NJ, told Page Six Dawson didn’t make any remarks, but “mixed with guests.” The two were spotted holding hands as Booker’s mother, Carolyn Booker, introduced her son to the crowd.

Dawson, 40, was in town for New York Fashion Week, as her fashion brand with Abrima Erwiah called Studio 189, which is made in Africa and produces African and African-inspired pieces, was showing its latest collection.

As Page Six exclusively reported earlier this year, the New Jersey senator, 50, and the “Sin City” star have been dating since late 2018 after meeting at a political fundraiser for Ben Jealous, former president of the NAACP.

Dawson missed Booker’s first two Democratic debates because she was shooting a TV project, USA Network’s “Briarpatch,” in New Mexico.

Earlier this week, she confirmed on Twitter that she does endorse Booker for president after comments she made drew speculation regarding her support for the candidate.

“For the record I, of course, endorse @CoryBooker. Anyone writing otherwise clearly hasn’t been paying attention,” she tweeted. “My focus this election is on voter registration and the census. Proud to celebrate 15 years with and support folks in using their voice and being counted!”
