DJ Khaled makes surprise visit at college lecture

Major teach alert.

DJ Khaled surprised students during a college lecture taught by Miami nightlife guru and Groot Hospitality founder David Grutman at Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management on Tuesday.

We’re told the students had “no idea” the famous DJ would be dropping by.

“They were super shocked when DJ Khaled walked in and immediately started cheering and taking photos,” an insider told Page Six.

The 43-year-old “Father of Asahd” artist introduced professor Grutman, who will be teaching the 7-week course, saying, “I’m only here, you know, to intro a great friend of mine. Somebody that I look up to.”

In true nightlife form, we hear the class received Groot x FIU swag bags and there was a photo step and repeat wall to pose for pics.

“Well I can now add Professor to my resume with a little help from my friends @fiuhospitality @djkhaled,” Grutman wrote on Instagram. 

This week, Live Nation acquired Grutman’s Groot Hospitality.
