Busy Philipps once worked at California Pizza Kitchen.
At the Teen Vogue Summit in LA over the weekend, Philipps told editor Lindsay Peoples Wagner that to make it in Hollywood, “You have to have a work ethic. I worked at California Pizza Kitchen from 15 until I got the pilot for ‘Freaks and Geeks.’”
She added, “Thankfully, it worked out … because I quit the day I got the pilot … Even through my teen years, when I was going to raves in the ’90s and didn’t sleep for a long period of time, I would still roll on in to seat people and make sure they got their barbecue chicken pizzas on time!”
Also at the event were Demi Lovato, Greta Gerwig, Evan Rachel Wood and Issa Rae.
It was Lovato’s first public appearance in a year.
