Gina Kirschenheiter is winning with her new boyfriend

Gina Kirschenheiter has a hard time watching her divorce play out on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” but that isn’t stopping her from enjoying her newfound happiness with her boyfriend Travis.

“I think it’s always been kind of hard for me to watch my own storyline because it is pretty real and raw and intense and hard,” Kirschenheiter recently told Page Six.

“For whatever reason, though, I get more embarrassed even watching me even reference in a very brief way like anybody who I went on a date with for like five seconds!” she said with a laugh, noting that it’s harder to see herself talk about failed dates than it is for her to watch herself talk about her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter.

Gina, 35, first filed for divorce from Matt, 35, after filming Season 13 of “RHOC” in 2018. Her struggle to go through with the divorce and their ups-and-downs reconciling are currently being aired on Season 14. Matt never appeared on the show at his former employer’s request, but their three children Nicholas, 7, Sienna, 5, and Luca, 3, continue to make appearances on TV.

Their relationship was turbulent off-camera, with Matt being arrested and charged with felony domestic violence following an altercation at their home earlier this year. Gina took out a restraining order against Matt at the time.

The former couple finalized their divorce in August, with a judge ruling that their union will legally be over on New Year’s Eve. The restraining order is continued until January 15, 2020.

In the meantime, Gina is more than content with her new boyfriend telling us: “So it’s kind of interesting because I basically don’t like anybody generally. And I kind of knew that I liked Travis before we even had met, just based off of like how we would talk to each other. And he was just like, really open with his feelings, like no game playing, no bulls–t. And we seem to have like the same outlook on life. And I kind of knew honestly that I really liked him before I even met him. So then I was just kind of like when he showed up for the first date, like, please think he’s hot. Please think he’s hot! And he is! So I win!”

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
