Graydon Carter and his newsletter Air Mail hosted a party at Monkey Bar this week to celebrate the new tome “Life Isn’t Everything: Mike Nichols, as Remembered by 150 of His Closest Friends.”
Guests including Candice Bergen, Christine Baranski, Barry Diller and Peter Gallagher — who’d flown in to see daughter Kathryn in the previews of “Jagged Little Pill” on Broadway — commemorated the late legendary director.
The night also served as an unofficial reunion for Carter and many former Vanity Fair and Spy colleagues, including Kurt Andersen.
The book’s out Tuesday from Henry Holt.
