The attorney for Jeffrey Epstein’s “sex slave” Virginia Roberts Giuffre said it’s a “mystery” why ABC refused to air her interview — adding “they missed the boat.”
After Amy Robach was caught on a hot mic alleging the network had failed to air the interview she taped with Epstein’s alleged sex slave in 2015, ABC moved swiftly to deny her claims they wanted to appease the royal family.
Instead, news chiefs said it simply did not meet their editorial standards.
However, Stan Pottinger, a lawyer for Giuffre, who claims she was forced to sleep with Prince Andrew at age 17, told Page Six: “Amy Robach and her producer, Jim Hill, did outstanding work.
“We [Virginia and her attorneys] were impressed by it.
“Why their bosses weren’t equally impressed is a mystery, but if it was about their fear of alienating the royal family, as reported, that’s not a news decision, that’s a money call.“
Robach alleged the network wanted to keep the royal family sweet — and didn’t want to miss out on interviews with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
She was caught talking to a colleague in a video leaked by conservative website Project Veritas on Tuesday.
The “20/20” anchor and GMA reporter later released a statement on Tuesday saying she made the comments in a moment of “private frustration.”
ABC sources have said there is “zero truth” they held the interview to appease the royal family.
Prince Andrew has continually denied all Giuffre’s allegations.
Pottinger added: “The network had her court documents, a gutsy on camera interview, and a photograph of Prince Andrew with his arm around her waist taken on one of the two nights he had sex with her, courtesy of his girl-lending pal Jeff Epstein.
“This is as much evidence as other media platforms have relied upon to publish her story. No idea why ABC decided to miss the boat.”
