John Legend is sexy and he knows it.
The “Green Light” singer, 40, was named as People’s Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday, and his friends at “The Voice” wasted no time poking fun at his new title.
Fellow “Voice” judge Blake Shelton, who was crowned Sexiest Man Alive in 2017, gifted Legend a very sexy pair of bedazzled jean shorts on Tuesday night’s show with the acronym “VEGOTSMA” embellished across the butt.
The letters reference Legend’s EGOT triumph — he is one of few who holds awards from the Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tonys — as well as his win on “The Voice” earlier this year and, now, his Sexiest Man Alive title.
“I learned [Shelton’s] sexy ways. I observed every move he made, every utterance that came from his mouth and I think some of it rubbed off on me. I think that has everything to do with why we’re here today,” Legend said of Shelton in an acceptance speech of sorts.
Legend also said that wife Chrissy Teigen has not been snarky about the title and is “legit proud” of him. Meanwhile, the supermodel gloated about her husband’s win on Twitter.
“My secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people’s sexiest man alive!! an honor!!!!!” Teigen said.
