Jill Zarin could never have guessed Luann de Lesseps would unravel the way she did.
When Andy Cohen brought up how Countess Luann, the former “queen of etiquette,” experienced a downward spiral in recent years, Zarin weighed in in at the “Bravo All Stars: OG Housewives Edition” panel at BravoCon on Friday.
“I was very surprised — well, I know Luann. I’m not surprised in some ways because I know her,” Zarin, who starred alongside de Lesseps on “RHONY,” told the crowd. “You know, she projected one way, but we’re all hypocrites, let’s be honest…we’re all hypocrites. We all say one thing, do another and it’s owning it. I have. I’m a hypocrite. I know it.”
She added that she was “beyond shocked” to see Luann’s mugshot from her December 2017 arrest, but she referred her friend to “Real Housewives of Miami” star Lea Black’s husband, Roy, who is a criminal defense attorney in Florida.
Luann was arrested for drunkenly going after a police officer on Christmas Eve in Palm Beach. She has since attended rehab twice and pledged to stay sober. However, in May she admitted to a probation officer that she drank two mimosas after one of her cabaret performances in Chicago.
As a result, she was ordered back to court over the probation violation and taken into custody.
She officially completed her probation in August.
BravoCon is taking place in New York from Nov. 15 to 17.
