Zac Posen designs dress for Iman after fall of fashion house

Despite his label shutting down earlier this month, Zac Posen is still working — for a good cause.

The designer created a dress for Iman for the Care Impact Awards gala Thursday at the Mandarin Oriental. We’re told the fabric was sent from Bangladesh as part of the organization’s partnership with Living Blue, a farmer and artisan collective that Iman contacted. Posen used it to create the organic indigo dress.

He told Vogue, “I wasn’t expecting to go right into draping a piece in this moment, but when a good friend calls about something important, that was inspiring and meaningful. It was a really calming experience.”
