Aaron Carter accused of racism after imitating Chinese accent while ordering food

Aaron Carter has been accused of racism after imitating a Chinese accent while ordering takeout.

The “Hate To Love” singer recently filmed himself putting on a thick accent while ordering Chinese food over the phone. Friends of the child star can be heard snickering in the background as he says, “A plain lo mein, orange chicken, sesame chicken. Large order. Crab rangoon two order. General Tso’s chicken, pork fried rice.”

“When your friends can’t order Chinese food chicken in NYC AND you have to SHOW THEM YOURE cultural status,” wrote the “Marriage Bootcamp” alum alongside the video, adding the hashtag “satire.”

After posting the clip to his social media accounts, followers immediately implored him to take it down, saying his attempt at satire was simply racist.

“It sounds like you’re trying to do an Asian accent which is really racist and offensive. If you think you’re trying to be funny or [not] no offense but dial it back a little bit,” one fan responded. “That’s not even any language you’re just mocking his accent you racist fool,” wrote another.

Carter later took to Instagram live to defend himself, saying he isn’t racist, but rather “cultured.”

“I ordered Chinese food last night and nobody could talk to the guy and order the food, so I was like ‘watch, I got this’, and I ordered the s—t in like, five minutes.” Aaron asserted according to Metro.

”’Racist bitch?’ F–k you, f—k you, you bitch,” Carter continued. “Tell me how I’m a racist, please. How the f—k am I racist? Because I’m cultured and I know how to speak to people? People are so sensitive, you ever heard of satire humor?

”’Oh my god, he’s so racist, he hates Chinese people’ – really, why am I ordering Chinese food then?’”
