Animal rights activists storm Kate Upton’s workout event

Kate Upton‘s workout was interrupted Wednesday when a group of screaming animal activists stormed her fitness class.

Upton was hosting her Strong4Me Fitness class at theSkimm’s headquarters when protesters ran into the room and started chanting “shame on you!” for promoting the company Canada Goose in the past.

They also shouted that the Sports Illustrated model and the clothing brand have “blood on their hands.”

One protester wearing a hat that said “Vegan” shouted, “Coyotes get shot in the head and are strangled to death for Canada Goose, and you promote that.”

He added, “You’re an influencer. You should be promoting kindness and yet you promote violence. Shame on you, you murderer!”

The activists were pushed out of the room by those attending the workout class and Upton seemed unfazed as she stood quietly watching with a straight face.

Upton announced her partnership with Canada Goose on World Kindness Day in November to support polar bear conservation, writing at the time, “I’m proud to partner with Canada Goose and PBI to help raise awareness and ensure a future for Polar Bears. I recently had the honor of visiting the new PBI House to learn about polar bears, polar bear research, and the role each of us plays in polar bear conservation.
Thank you @canadagoose & @polarbearsinternational for you efforts to make this world a better place.”

The winter-wear brand uses coyote fur and goose feathers to make their coats.

Upton did not publicly mention the ordeal but did write on social media, “Had so much fun joining Carly & Danielle at @theSkimm’s HQ this morning! We discussed my career, family, @Strong4MeFit… and so much more.”

Strong4M also tweeted, “We had so much fun hosting a #Strong4Me workout with
@kateupton & @benbruno1 – you ladies crushed it! 💪,” along with photos from the event.

Interesting definition of “fun.”

Upton’s rep did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
