When Wilmer Valderrama proposed to Amanda Pacheco on New Year’s Day, he presented her with one heck of a rock.
The 28-year-old model’s pear-shaped sparkler features an estimated 2.5-3 carat diamond set on a stone-studded band, according to Kathryn Money, VP of Strategy & Merchandising for Brilliant Earth.
The gem expert, who did not work on the piece, added that Pacheco’s ring could be worth anywhere from $40,000 to $80,000.
Teardrop engagement rings like Pacheco’s have proven particularly popular with celebrities over the past couple of years. Cardi B, Sophie Turner, Kaley Cuoco and Victoria Beckham are just a few of the stars who sport pear-shaped stones.
Ariana Grande also accepted one from former flame Pete Davidson in 2018, and Paris Hilton from now-ex Chris Zylka at the end of 2017.
