Gwen Stefani is taking boyfriend Blake Shelton‘s last name as fashion inspiration.
The former “Voice” coach, 50, hit the red carpet at Sunday night’s 2020 Grammys wearing a short Dolce & Gabbana dress covered in white shells.
She emphasized the first syllable in Shelton’s last name when explaining the inspiration for the look, and joked that the country singer has been working for years to collect the components of her dress.
Shelton, 43, wore a simple black three-piece suit.
The couple are set to perform their duet “Nobody But You” together during the award show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Shelton is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for “God’s Country,” the title song off of his latest album.
Though they have written and recorded more than one song together during their relationship, both Stefani and Shelton told Ryan Seacrest that there are no plans for a joint album.
