Justin Bieber gives back to women’s shelter in ‘Intentions’ music video

Only good intentions here.

Justin Bieber took the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate through his latest music video, “Intentions,” which debuted on Thursday.

The 25-year-old singer spotlighted three women from Alexandria House, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides “safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing,” according to the organization’s website.

The video begins by showing the struggles that each of the women have gone through, including that of Bahri, a college student whose Saudi Arabian mother was denied the right to get an education. Bahri now commutes two to three hours a day to get to class herself.

The other women are Marcy, a young mother struggling to make ends meet, and Angela, an artist who flew out to LA to chase her dreams and has experienced homelessness.

In the video, Bieber and rapper Quavo of the group Migos, who is featured on the song, pay the women a surprise visit. They gift them backpacks and studio time, and Bahri is given a car.

“Thank you guys so much for having us,” Bieber said in the clip. “Quavo and I — it meant so much to us just being here.”

At the end of the video, which had close to 5 million views as of Friday, text appears that states an Intentions Fund worth $200,000 was created to “support these women and the dreams of the families” the Alexandria House supports.
