Macaulay Culkin reacts to trending after ‘American Horror Story’ announcement

Macaulay Culkin seemed as surprised about his sudden comeback as anyone on Thursday morning, after it was announced that the former child star of “Home Alone” fame was cast in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming 10th season of “American Horror Story.”

Culkin posted on Twitter: “I just woke up and saw I was trending. Can someone explain what’s going on? Did I die again??”

Culkin’s previously been the victim of various online death hoaxes: In 2014, his reps twice shot down rumors of his death which had fans posting condolences. Culkin’s band, The Pizza Underground, even joked about the faux reports with a “Weekend at Bernie’s” style video featuring the star. A Facebook memorial page reportedly had sparked the rumors.

Hot-again actor Culkin has also just graced the cover of Esquire, in which he revealed he auditioned for a role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood.”
