Oscar winner Taika Waititi and wife Chelsea Winstanley are separated

Oscar-winning “Jojo Rabbit” writer Taika Waititi and Academy Award-nominated producer Chelsea Winstanley quietly separated two years ago, Page Six has learned — and recently, he’s been spotted out with a possible new love interest.

Waititi and Winstanley, both 44, share two daughters, 7-year-old Te Hinekāhu and 4-year-old Matewa Kiritapu.

According to the New Zealand Herald, the pair met over two decades ago when Winstanley interviewed Waititi for a documentary about Māori artists. The couple, who are both New Zealand natives, reconnected in 2010 while working on the film “Boy” and wed roughly two years later in New York.

Fans first started questioning whether Waititi and Winstanley — who both worked on “Jojo Rabbit” — had split when they weren’t photographed together on awards-season red carpets to promote their critically acclaimed film. They were last pictured together in a group shot at a Golden Globes party in January.

Winstanley also dropped several hints on social media that she and Waititi had parted ways, including a cryptic caption on a photo with her mother at the 2020 Oscars.

“This is a better one of my stunning mama date!! Way better date than a seat filler! (for those of who who have sent me sweet uplifting messages you know what I mean 😉),” she wrote alongside the photo of her and her mom.

On Twitter, she tellingly responded to a portrait drawn of her and Waititi with the hashtag “#notmyhusband.”

Meanwhile, Waititi seems to have quietly moved on. He has been spotted out at multiple events over the past few months with the same woman. Multiple sources tell us her name is Polly Stoker and was his  assistant on 2016’s “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” and 2017’s “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Although they were not photographed on the 2020 Oscars or BAFTAs red carpets together, Waititi and Stoker were seated together at both shows.

The pair was most recently spotted courtside at a Lakers game earlier this month.

In 2018, Winstanley told the New Zealand Herald, “I’m just sick of women portrayed as living in the shadow of their partners, that’s all. I made one film with him, I was a film-maker before I met him and I continue to do my own stuff.”

Reps for Waititi and Winstanley did not return our requests for comment.
