Kim Kardashian slams ‘lying’ Taylor Swift after Kanye West footage leaks

Kim Kardashian spoke out for the “last time” about Taylor Swift and Kanye West‘s feud over the song “Famous.”

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star, 39, went on a Twitter spree late Monday to defend her husband and slam “self-serving” Swift for reigniting a years-old feud after footage of the now-infamous 2016 phone call was leaked in full.

“@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange — that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now,” tweeted Kardashian, referring to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kardashian admitted she was “really embarrassed and mortified” to be commenting on the never-ending feud during a time of crisis but felt she had to because Swift “is actually lying.”

“To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that,” continued Kardashian. “Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”

During Kardashian’s Twitter spree, Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, also took to the social medium to share her original statement and added, “I’m Taylor’s publicist and this is my UNEDITED original statement. Btw, when you take parts out, that’s editing. P.S. who did you guys piss off to leak that video?”

Kardashian ignored Paine’s tweet, continuing to explain her and West’s side of the story: “At the time when they spoke the song had not been fully written yet, but as everyone can see in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team said she ‘declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.'”

“The lie was never about the word bitch, It was always whether there was a call or not and the tone of the conversation,” the KKW Beauty founder added.

Kardashian claimed “another lie” was Swift claiming the E! star edited the original footage and explained that she “only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative.”

The SKIMS founder also defended her husband’s right to document his “musical journey and process” and noted that’s exactly what Swift did when releasing her Netflix documentary, “Miss Americana.”

“Kanye has documented the making of all of his albums for his personal archive, however has never released any of it for public consumption & the call between the two of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she not lied & forced me to defend him,” she wrote.

“This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares,” Kardashian ended the rant. “Sorry to bore you all with this. I know you are all dealing with more serious and important matters.”

Swift, 30, has yet to respond to Kardashian’s tweets, though Kardashian’s sister, Khloé Kardashian, tweeted her approval.

“I was about to go take my ass to sleep but then I just saw my sister post a couple tweets. [heart emojis] Kimberly you betta!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote. “Kim is my f–king lawyer for life!!!!!! My sister AND my lawyer.”

Earlier on Monday Swift used the feud to urge people to donate to coronavirus aid.

“Instead of answering those who are asking how I feel about the video footage that leaked, proving I was telling the truth the whole time about *that call* (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated into order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years ),” Swift posted on her Instagram story.

“The World Health Organization and Feeding America are some of the organizations I’ve been donating to. If you have the ability to, please join me in donating during this crisis.”
