Tony Shalhoub reveals he and wife Brooke Adams had coronavirus

Tony Shalhoub has revealed that he and his wife, Brooke Adams, both had coronavirus.

“Last month, my wife Brooke and I came down with the virus, and it was a pretty rough few weeks,” he said on Monday’s episode of “Peacock Presents: At-Home Variety Show.” “But we realize that so many other people have and had it a lot worse.”

He then went out onto his New York City balcony to clap for health care heroes along with the rest of the city.

“Stay safe and stay sane,” he said.

On the variety show, the 66-year-old also reprised his role as Adrian Monk, a detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder, from his hit USA show “Monk.”

He demonstrated how the germaphobe would be living in quarantine in a world with coronavirus: microwaving his mail, putting his fruit in the dishwasher and standing 6 feet away from Zoom call.

His former “Monk” co-stars Ted Levine (Leland Stottlemeyer), Jason Gray-Stanford (Randy Disher) and Traylor Howard (Natalie Teeger) also made an appearance via video chat.
