Fashion’s going back to the 2000s.
On Tuesday, Missguided launched a new collaboration with streetwear brand Sean John inspired by iconic celebrity looks from the era, including Jennifer Lopez’s white bedazzled crop top, bandana headband and low-rise jeans from the 2000 VMAs — which J.Lo attended with then-boyfriend (and Sean John founder) Diddy.
Other key reference points for the range, dubbed “The Classics,” include the pink oversized velour tracksuit Rihanna wore in 2015 and Drake’s throwback birthday party look from 2018.
The 114-piece collection pays homage to the history of the Sean John brand and features the velour, nylon and sweat fabrics for which the label is famous.
Up-and-coming rapper BIA modeled the pieces for the collaboration’s campaign, including a navy velour zip cropped jacket ($34) with matching wide-leg pants ($34), an oversized crewneck ($29) with logo-banded underwear ($14) and a zip-front top ($24) with matching ribbed leggings ($21).
Other notable designs include a Sean John headband ($9), bandana-printed joggers ($29), a logo-stitched crop top ($11) and and oversized velour puffy coat ($78).
