Chadwick Boseman’s brother recalls final conversation with late actor

Chadwick Boseman’s brother, Pastor Derrick Boseman, is opening up about the late “Black Panther” star’s final words, which reveal the actor was “ready to go.”
“Man, I’m in the fourth quarter, and I need you to get me out of the game,” Derrick said Chadwick told him the day before he died, according to a new interview in The New York Times.
Derrick took the plea as a sign that his brother finally grew “tired” of fighting his four-year battle with colon cancer.
“When he told me that, I changed my prayer from, ‘God heal him, God save him,’ to ‘God, let your will be done,’” Derrick said. “And the next day he passed away.”
On Aug. 28, Chadwick died at age 43 at home in Los Angeles surrounded by family and friends, his rep said at the time.

He was buried near his South Carolina hometown, where he, Derrick, and their other brother, Kevin, grew up.

Since the “21 Bridges” star’s death, tales of him putting on a brave face behind the scenes while sick and several acts of kindness have surfaced.
His co-star Sienna Miller recently shared that he took a pay cut to boost her salary.
Chadwick’s family told The New York Times that they would like his brother to be honored in their hometown with a school bearing his name.
