“Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough says that recently eliminated “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin “seemed lovely and nice and put herself out there.”
Baskin has been accused of killing her husband Don Lewis by rival Joe Exotic in the Netflix hit. Lewis’ family even bought an ad during Baskin’s “DWTS” debut demanding answers about his disappearance.
Page Six reported that Baskin recently told Tamron Hall of the controversy: “If anything could lead us to any kind of conclusion on what happened to Don, then that would be fabulous because my name would be cleared. But I really think that he just crashed a private plane over the Gulf, and I don’t think that offering a reward is going to help prove that.”
Either way, Hough danced about the fray, telling us: “I am there to see the person in the moment — the person before me, not what comes around them,” and, “It’s not my job, but it’s also the way I have always been. I always just take my personal experiences with people.”
Away from the show, he’s been promoting Frank’s RedHot Thick Sauce’s “dipping dance challenge.”
