Reba McEntire reveals she’s dating ‘CSI: Miami’ actor Rex Linn

Maybe they’re planning “CSI: Nashville.”

Country music star Reba McEntire, 65, revealed that she’s dating “CSI: Miami” actor Rex Linn, 63.

The “Fancy” singer described Linn as “special” and “a very, very sweetheart of a guy”  on her podcast, “Living and Learning,” telling co-host Melissa Peterman that she jumped back into the dating pool this year.

McEntire added that Peterman was actually present on the pair’s first date, which was a dinner in January, and said she and Linn have been talking, texting and FaceTiming throughout the pandemic.

“It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on,” McEntire continued. “Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career.”

“We’re having a blast and still getting to know each other,” McEntire added.”Whatever happens in the future, we’re very stable and it’s been a good six months and I look forward to having more things to look forward to.”

In January, Texas native Linn, who’s can also be seen in “Young Sheldon” and “Better Call Saul,” posted a picture of the two getting cozy on a night to his own Instagram, “Tater Tots and ketchup included.”

McEntire also divulged that, when her mother Jacqueline died in January, Linn sent care packages of food to her family in Oklahoma. “It gave me such a sense that he really cared for me but not only me but my family,” she said.

Per IMDb, Linn abandoned his career at a bank in McEntire’s native Oklahoma to move to LA and pursue a career in acting in the 1980s. According to People, he was engaged to Renee DeRese in 2010.

McEntire has been married twice. When her career was in its embryonic stages, McEntire married steer wrestling champion and rancher Charlie Battles in 1976. Eleven years later, McEntire split from Battles, who was 10 years her senior and moved to Nashville, where, in 1989, she married fellow musician Narvel Blackstock. McEntire and Blackstock split in 2015.
