Sharon Osbourne returns to red hair after feeling ‘like Grandma Clampett’

Sharon Osbourne is back to her old self.

The star dyed her hair back to her signature fiery red after a short reprieve from the salon.

On a new episode of “The Talk,” the host explained why she made the decision after going gray, and later experimenting a light pink color.

“I don’t know, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I’m like, ‘Nah, you look like Grandma Clampett,'” she told her co-hosts, referencing Irene Ryan’s “Beverly Hillbillies” character.

“I said, ‘Nah, I’m changing it back.'”

Osbourne also admitted that part of the reason she felt like she looked older was because she celebrated her 68th birthday on Oct. 9.

She first debuted her dramatic transformation to gray hair in February with the help of colorist Jack Martin, who also helped Jane Fonda go silver.

“I love the freedom it has given me. I’ve got nothing to prove. It’s not like I’m trying to look younger. I’m just trying to look my best,” she said in May of the big change, bemoaning the tiresome process of coloring her hair every week and having the dye stain everything.

It seems that Osbourne just couldn’t shake her signature look, no matter the sacrifice.
