Irina Shayk stepped out in New York City on Wednesday wearing a classic fall outfit combo of leather pants, a biker jacket and combat boots — but it was her choice of top that instantly caught our eye.
The Russian model, 34, sported a blue printed tank top with two strategically placed cutouts that instantly called to mind Regina George, the iconic antagonist from 2004’s “Mean Girls.”
In a particularly memorable scene from the movie, Janis Ian (played by Lizzy Caplan) sneaks into the school’s locker room and snips holes in Regina’s (Rachel McAdams) white tank top during gym class, part of her master plan to exact revenge on the ruthless queen bee.
Unfortunately, Janis’ scheme backfires, with cutout tanks quickly becoming the hottest fashion trend at North Shore High (and a popular Halloween costume ever since).
If anyone can pull off this wacky look — besides Regina, of course — it’s Irina.
