Frankie Muniz will not be naming his unborn son after his beloved TV character Malcolm.
On Tuesday, 34-year-old actor got fans excited on Twitter when he asked, “We have picked a name for our little boy. Take a guess… You’ll never get it.”
Comments immediately flooded in, all related to characters Muniz has played over the years.
One fan wrote, “You should name your first child Francisco Muniz V (Francis), 2nd child Reese, middle child Malcolm, 4th child Reese and final child Jamie, referring to the kids from the Fox sitcom, “Malcolm in the Middle.”
Another person wrote, “No no no, it’s Malcolm isn’t it? Either that or Cody Banks,” referencing another Muniz role.
Many also referenced the “Malcolm in the Middle” theme song, “Boss of Me,” by They Might Be Giants, which giddily asked, “Yes, no, maybe. I don’t know. Can you repeat the question?”
All of the speculation prompted the “Big Fat Liar” star to tweet the following day, “No….I’m not naming my son Malcolm.”
Muniz and his wife Paige Price announced last weekend that they were expecting a baby boy. The couple, who eloped in October 2019, joyfully announced they were expecting a baby in September.
“In the past four and a half years, Paige and I have experienced so many incredible things together. We’ve traveled the world, got to live out all these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities,” the actor revealed in a video shared on the couple’s YouTube channel. “While we still believe it’s the little moments in between the big ones that make you feel happiest, nothing quite compares to hearing your little one’s heartbeat.”
