Harvey Weinstein accuser Mimi Haleyi slaps him with federal lawsuit

The former “Project Runway” production assistant whose testimony helped put Harvey Weinstein behind bars slapped the disgraced movie mogul with a federal lawsuit Friday.

Lawyers for Miriam “Mimi” Haleyi, who also goes by Haley, described in new court papers how the convicted rapist used “his wealth, power and influence to pull her into his orbit.”

Echoing her testimony at Weinstein’s sex-assault trial, Haleyi’s suit says Weinstein lured her to his apartment in 2006, pinned her to a bed, “pulled out her tampon and forced himself on her orally.”

She was crying and saying, “No, no, no” during the July 10 attack, the papers state.

“Ms. Haley lived with the horror, humiliation and pain that this assault caused for years,” her lawyers wrote in the filing.

A few weeks later, Haleyi, desperate for work, said she met Weinstein at the Tribeca Grand Hotel and had sex with him, while he called her a “whore and bitch” in an attempt to turn her on, the papers state.

She remained in contact with him for years because “he was an extremely useful industry connection,” her lawyers wrote.

Weinstein was convicted of first-degree criminal sex act for forcibly performing oral sex on Haleyi in 2006 and third-degree rape for forcing himself on hairstylist Jessica Mann in 2013. In March, he was sentenced to 23 years behind bars.

Haleyi, who now lives in London, alleges battery, assault and gender-motivated violence and is suing for unspecified compensatory and punitive damages, plus lawyers’ fees.

Weinstein’s spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, said the suit bolsters the defense’s assertion at trial that Haleyi made up the allegations “to pave the way for civil-damages claims.”

Weinstein faces a separate sex-crimes case in Los Angeles, where he’s charged with 11 counts of rape, sexual battery, and other raps stemming from the allegations of five women.
