Matthew McConaughey shared his thoughts on the “sexual tension” between exes Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston during their virtual table read of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” last month.
“Could I feel the heat through the screen of Brad? So palpable. Yeah, yeah, it was so palpable,” McConaughey, who played the character of Mike Damone in the table read, recently told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live.”
The “Greenlights” author, 50, said that while he didn’t notice things heating up during the table read, he definitely realized the sizzling moments the next day.
“I noticed that after, that a lot of the topics were about that, or about them,” he said, adding, “No, I actually didn’t notice anything through the screen, but that made for a good topic the next day.”
In early September, 51-year-old Aniston and 56-year-old Pitt, who divorced in 2005, got flirty with each other during the “Fast Times” reunion online.
They greeted each other with smiles when they logged onto the video chat and later acted out the scene where Pitt’s character Brad Hamilton had a sexual fantasy about Aniston’s character Linda Barrett.
“Hi Aniston … how are you doing?” Pitt said with a huge smile on his face. Aniston, equally smiley, responded while twirling her hair, “Good honey, how are you doing?”
Several other celebs on the call including Julia Roberts and Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t contain their laughter at the scene.
