John Legend gets matching ‘Jack’ tattoo with Chrissy Teigen in honor of late son

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen paid tribute to their late son in a permanent way.

On Monday, celebrity tattoo artist Winter Stone revealed that the couple inked his name, Jack, on their wrists in matching cursive font. “My heart is with you, sending you all the love!,” the artist wrote on Instagram.

Teigen, 34, was the first to unveil her new ink over the weekend, posting a photo holding her husband’s hand on Twitter. The ink is in the same spot on both stars’ wrists, near their forearm tributes to each other and their two children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.

The model revealed she was pregnant in August and confirmed the loss of their third child in early October, posting emotional updates and photos from the hospital.

“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever,” she said, in part.

Legend, 41, dedicated his performance of “Never Break” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards to his wife, singing lyrics like, “We will never break, built on a foundation, strong enough to stay, we will never break.”
