Keith Richards can’t get no satisfaction — unless he’s wearing his sweats.
Asked about his pandemic style during a recent GQ interview, the iconic 76-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist said his at-home look revolves around “very comfortable garments. Very casual, I don’t dress up.”
That means sweatpants — “I call them comfies,” he clarified. “Very baggy soft things. And some Uggy boots.”
Yes, even Richards loves Ugg’s signature sheepskin boots, which he described as “the peasant-looking things.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the musician discussed the reissue of his solo album “Live at the Hollywood Palladium” with his band the X-Pensive Winos (out November 13) and the Rolling Stones’ plans for their 60th anniversary in 2022.
“Well, the plans are to still actually all be alive,” he quipped. “First off, I’m going to get through this year and see how we handle next year. Because I think at the moment, there are more problems than a Rolling Stones celebration. Although I’m very glad that we’re all here, but I’ll leave it at that if I can.”
As for Richards’ seeming immortality following his years of smoking, drinking, drugs and partying?
“Every day is a pleasure,” he said. “I mean, I don’t wish to defy anybody’s predictions and I’m really not interested in them. But I’ll croak when I croak and everybody will know.”
