Jax Taylor says Brittany Cartwright is insecure about pregnant body

Jax Taylor revealed his pregnant wife Brittany Cartwright is struggling to feel confident with her changing body.

The “Vanderpump Rules” star appeared alongside Stassi Schroeder’s fiancé Beau Clark on the “Give Them Lala … with Randall” podcast and shared that he is having to reassure Cartwright, 31, how “beautiful she is” right now.

“She’s already beautiful, she’s already gorgeous, but I always see Brittany looking at herself and I know in her head she’s just thinking sometimes that she think she’s not pretty,” Taylor, 41, said.

He added, “Their bodies are changing and they’re not used to that and they’re very insecure. They know they’re excited to be moms, but at the same time, they’re like, ‘Am I gonna get back into that bikini again?’ You know, that kind of stuff. And that’s the thing that I have to reassure her a lot and I love doing it.”

Taylor, who is expecting his first child — a son — with Cartwright, encouraged men and women to compliment pregnant women because they, too, may not be feeling like their best selves.

“It makes a whole world of difference,” the reality star said.

Emmett, who is engaged and expecting a child with Lala Kent, shared that he also makes an effort to compliment his fiancée.

“I do go out of my way because I know right now how insecure she is, Lala, more than she ever was,” he said. “She’s not a very insecure person, but we’re all insecure at times.”

Taylor agreed, adding, “It’s not easy, especially with our girls being in the limelight, being on social media, when you’ve got everybody and their brother picking apart our wives.”

Earlier this month, Cartwright shared that she had received some mean comments about the size of her baby bump.

On her Instagram Stories, she encouraged other expecting moms not to compare themselves because “the wide variety of baby bumps can be attributed to everything from a woman’s size and shape to whether this is her first pregnancy or her second, third or fourth.”

She added, “I’m going to enjoy my pregnancy no matter what the trolls say.”

Emmett, who said he has been body-shamed himself, said on his podcast, “They’re miserable people and they’re not happy, and all I can do and say is I wish them the best in life.”

Taylor added, “Kill them with kindness.”
