Braunwyn Windham-Burke shares first photo with girlfriend after coming out

Braunwyn Windham-Burke shared the first photo with her girlfriend after coming out as gay on Wednesday.

In the picture posted to her Instagram story, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is seen posing next to a woman who is her partner Kris, a source confirmed to People. Windham-Burke, 43, didn’t share any details about Kris, but posted a rainbow flag and hearts on the pic.

On Wednesday, the reality star — who has been married to husband Sean Burke for 20 years — proudly told GLAAD in an interview, “I like women. I’m gay.”

“To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice,” she said.

Windham-Burke, who has seven children with Sean, told GLAAD that she and her husband plan to stay married. She also confirmed that she has a girlfriend, and said Sean has spent time with her.

“I love Sean. I love him dearly, he is my person, he is my family. But I’m not attracted to men and I never have been,” she said.

Windham-Burke also spoke about how her newfound sobriety has helped her embrace her real self.

“I know when you get sober and you start doing the work that goes into that, you start realizing a lot of the reasons you drank had to do with who you were on the inside,” she said.

Windham-Burke recently told Page Six how she will give back to LGBTQ+ charities and other organizations this holiday season.
