Madison LeCroy hopes to stay ‘cordial’ with ex Austen Kroll

Madison LeCroy’s first season as a full-time cast member on “Southern Charm” has been a rollercoaster.

LeCroy, 31, joined the Bravo series as she was dating cast member Austen Kroll, but the relationship has since fizzled.

“So, unfortunately, we have called it quits,” LeCroy told Page Six in a recent interview. “We remained talking, occasionally seeing each other, but overall we decided to end the relationship.”

She said she hopes the pair can “remain cordial.”

While LeCroy and her 7-year-old son, Hudson, filmed heartwarming scenes with Kroll, 33, she said that Kroll was in no way a father figure to him.

“My son was pretty close [to Kroll], but not as close as you probably would think after being in a three-year relationship,” she explained. “I think he’s helped me maybe two times go pick up Hudson from school in that span. I have a problem with asking people for help and this is my responsibility and so I’m not looking at Austen for that. But, you know, he’d come over and have dinner with us and things like that. But overall, I think that Austen ended up being more of like a big brother vibe then try to be a stepdad, so Hudson enjoyed it.”

Of course, that vibe may have contributed to the end of their relationship.

“Unfortunately, I was like, ‘You know, maybe we just shouldn’t be dating,'” LeCroy laughed. “That’s the problem!”

“Well, the good thing is I have it all on record on TV so I can sit there and look at this whole relationship unfold and hopefully I don’t have a little PTSD after all of this,” she added.

Now, she’s taking in her newfound support via fans on social media and laughing when it comes to accounts like Comments by Celebs’ offshoot Comments by Bravo picking up her comments about Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari, who are in the midst of a divorce.

“I mean it’s like, ‘What have I done?’ or ‘Maybe I shouldn’t [have] said that’ or things like that,” she quipped. “But it’s all commentary, funny. It’s not — I don’t take it too seriously. And I meant what I said, so!”

“Southern Charm” airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
