Shia LaBeouf’s mask sends bizarre message amid FKA Twigs lawsuit

Shia LaBeouf is letting his face mask do the talking.

The actor — who came under fire in recent days after ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs accused him of abuse — stepped out to grab some grub at LA’s Cava on Sunday wearing a mask with “Love Me Like You Hate Me” printed on it. The mask is a piece of merchandise from the NSFW short-film music video LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley shot for Rainsford’s song with that title.

Rainsford is the stage name for Qualley’s sister, Rainey Qualley.

“It’s filled with love and pain and tenderness and rage and real pieces of my heart,” Rainsford wrote at the time of its release.

It was the first time LaBeouf, 34, has been spotted since Twigs, 32, sued him over their allegedly abusive relationship. It’s unclear if LaBeouf was trying to send a message by wearing this mask, or if he simply grabbed the first one he had, but as a performance artist, it’s more likely the former.

The “Tax Collector” star also had his right hand and wrist in a splint, though it’s unknown how he injured himself.

Since Twigs’ lawsuit and interview with the New York Times, singer Sia has come forward to claim that LaBeouf “conned” her into an “adulterous” affair.

“I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single,” Sia tweeted late Saturday of the actor, who appeared in her video for 2015’s “Elastic Heart.”

“I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims,” she wrote.

In response, Twigs said she and Sia needed to “support each other.”
