Nick Cannon has COVID-19, Niecy Nash to fill in on ‘Masked Singer’

Nick Cannon, host of Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” has tested positive for COVID-19, Variety first reported Wednesday, with Niecy Nash set to temporarily fill in.

On Thursday, a rep for Cannon confirmed the report to Page Six.

Cannon, 40 is expected to return at a later date, according to Variety, as production on Season 5 is slated to get underway Thursday.

Cannon has hosted “The Masked Singer” since 2019. The reality competition series also stars Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy.

As for Nash, 50, she has previous ties to the show, having served as a guest panelist for Season 4 last year.

Season 5 of “The Masked Singer” is slated to premiere in March.
