John Travolta honors late son Jett on what would’ve been 29th birthday

John Travolta posted a heartfelt tribute to his late son, Jett, on what would have been Jett’s 29th birthday.

“Happy birthday my beautiful Jetty. I love you,” the 67-year-old actor captioned a black-and-white father-son photo on Instagram Tuesday.

The eldest child of Travolta and his late wife, Kelly Preston, died in January 2009 after suffering a seizure during a family trip to the Bahamas. Jett was 16 years old.

The couple’s 21-year-old daughter, Ella, also honored her late brother on social media Tuesday by posting a childhood photo of them.

“I love you Jetty. Happy Birthday,” she captioned the Instagram post.

This year marks the “Grease” star’s first time celebrating Jett’s birthday without Preston, who died in July 2020 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. The actress was 57 years old.

“She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered,” Travolta wrote on Instagram after his wife’s death.

Travolta and Preston had been married since 1991. They also shared a 10-year-old son, Benjamin.

Earlier this month, Travolta shared a rare photo of Ella to commemorate his daughter’s milestone birthday.

“Happy 21st birthday to the most beautiful, kind, human being and artist I know,” the Oscar nominee captioned his Instagram post. “Your dad adores you.”

In the comments section of the post, Ella was flooded with birthday wishes and messages about how much she resembles her famous parents.

“She is such a gorgeous combination of you and Kelly. Happy Birthday!” one follower wrote.

“What a perfect mix of her parents. Beautiful gal! Happy Birthday,” another gushed.
