How Paulina Porizkova prepared for her Oscars red carpet debut with Aaron Sorkin

When Paulina Porizkova made her red carpet debut with boyfriend Aaron Sorkin at Sunday’s 2021 Oscars, she did so wearing a 15-year-old gown plucked from her own closet.

But while her gold Dolce & Gabbana dress fit right in with the evening’s dominant color trend, the 56-year-old supermodel says it was chosen out of convenience.

“I got asked to the Oscars about a week ahead, and all I could do was look in my closet and find the one long dress that I own that still fits. And that was pretty much it — that was the only one that fit,” Porizkova joked during an interview with Page Six Style.

The Czech-born beauty did have one other contender in her closet — but with the gown’s tiny 23-inch waist, it would’ve been quite the squeeze.

“I mean, it doesn’t matter how good of a shape I’m in — 23 ain’t ever going to happen again,” she said with a laugh.

Page Six exclusively reported last Friday that the fashion legend and the award-winning screenwriter had been quietly dating for several months, and that they’d be making their first public appearance as a duo at the Oscars.

And while Sorkin, who was nominated for Best Original Screenplay for “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” wound up losing the statuette to Emerald Fennell for “Promising Young Woman,” he didn’t leave the awards show empty-handed.

“[That dress] kind of does make me look like a female Oscar,” Porizkova noted. “So, you know, something nice for Aaron to take back home at the end of the night.”
