Drew Barrymore got flirty with Leonardo DiCaprio on Wednesday, calling him hot while commenting on a post about climate change.
“You should be the only hot one, and not our planet!” she responded to his post, which showed an image demonstrating the consequences of unchecked global warming.
Fans immediately began to comment beneath the 46-year-old talk show host’s reply, most of whom admired the actress for putting herself out there, even if just for fun.
“@drewbarrymore I am LIVING for this comment 😂 You’re a real one, Drew,” wrote one fan, with another agreeing that DiCaprio is, “so hot, he’s to blame for global warming 😂😍😍.”
She later added a comment more appropriate for the post in question, writing, “Thank you for always have been the pioneer of saving our earth.”
While the actors are the same age, many made note of 46-year-old DiCaprio’s penchant for dating much younger women, including model Lorena Rae, 27, and current partner Camila Morrone, 24, who spoke on their 23-year-age gap last year.
“There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps,” Morrone, told the Los Angeles Times about her beau. “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
Barrymore, meanwhile, shares two children — daughters Olive, 8, and Frankie, 7 — with ex Will Kopelman. The couple announced their split in 2016 after three years of marriage. The pair remained close after their split, and Kopelman is now engaged to Vogue editor Alexandra Michler.
