Why ‘Bachelorette’ fans are convinced Greg faked his fight with Katie

Things may not be so rosy behind the scenes of “The Bachelorette.”

Fans are convinced that Greg Grippo, an aspiring actor, staged his dramatic fight with “Bachelorette” star Katie Thurston so he could leave the show and showcase his thespian skills.

“My theory: Greg got further than he expected/wanted and pushed the eject button real quick,” one person theorized in a post on social media this week.

“And this s–t is fake. It’s his audition for the rest of his career. I knew there was something off with this dude from Day 1,” another tweeted.

“Greg Grippo joins the acting ranks of legends after tonight’s performance #bachelorette,” a fan agreed.

“Should’ve known greg was a master manipulator because the s–t that I just watched where greg broke up with Katie like wtf he gaslighted the s–t out of her like that was f–ked up,” a fan agreed.

“His acting couch [sic] was paid top notch premium price and has worked with talents such as Michael B. Jordan and Tom Holland. Bravo Greg Grippo! Exit stage left,” said another.

Even a self-proclaimed “expert” weighed in, writing,” I knew #greggrippo was acting after his terrible monologue. I’m a casting director and have seen hundreds of actors indicate their way through a monologue. He was faking. And is also a b—h.”

Others took Grippo’s side and believe Thurston was the one in the wrong.

“Me not understanding how Greg is being painted as the bad guy when he literally poured his heart out to Katie and was only looking for her sincere acknowledgement of his feelings instead of hearing, ‘I love LOOKING at you,” someone tweeted.

Another agreed, writing, “I think #greggrippo was trying to say that he didn’t want responses from her having to do with the SHOW. He wanted her to talk about how she viewed him in her life. Ex: instead of ‘you’re my #1,’ say “My feelings for you are so strong & I think our marriage would be beautiful.”

However, this isn’t the first time allegations of Greg’s insincerity have come to light. A source told The Sun in June that the contestant, who claims to work in marketing sales, was actually an actor and only on the show “seeking fame” and not love.

“He is absolutely lying about his career and intentions on the show. He’s always wanted to pursue an on-camera career,” the source had claimed.

Grippo, 28, caused mayhem on this week’s episode of “The Bachelorette” when he abruptly quit the show following the all-important hometown dates. He and Thurston, 30, got into a heated argument after he told her he loved her and she didn’t say it back.

Thurston later seemed to suggest that Grippo had gaslighted her.
