‘Gossip Girl’ star Jordan Alexander gets her great style from her grandma

As Julien Calloway, ringleader of the Constance Billard cool girls on HBO Max’s “Gossip Girl,” Jordan Alexander relies on fashion to help her get into character.

“The clothes that she wears, and the makeup as well, help me ski-jump into becoming her,” the 28-year-old Toronto native told Page Six Style.

Social media influencer Julien wears oversized button-downs with bike shorts and parties in see-through pieces from LaQuan Smith and David Koma — pieces Alexander admitted she “might style differently” in real life, but that still resonate with her own personal style.

“I tend to like to wear things that are a little more outlandish or very dramatic,” she said. “I like androgyny in style, and Julien incorporates that a little bit as well.”

But the star’s real source of style inspiration is closer to home.

“My grandma is a very fancy lady — if she was [from] New York, she’d be on the Upper East Side for sure,” Alexander quipped.

“She’s always been very fashion-forward; my sisters and I would dress up in her clothes, and they were just so extravagant and wonderful. That probably influenced me a lot in terms of being dramatic with fashion.”

While she might go for major impact on red carpets, Alexander’s everyday look is all about putting a modern spin on closet classics, like pearls and little black dresses (she prefers the latter with skinny straps and a sexy slit).

And while Julien’s somewhat of a sneakerhead, the actress who plays her prefers a towering platform heel.

“There’s just something about platforms that make me feel extraterrestrial,” she shared. “They affect the way you walk, and I like that!”
