Billie Eilish stops concert to help fan who couldn’t breathe

Billie Eilish stopped her concert in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday to make sure a fan who was having trouble breathing received proper medical care.

“You need an inhaler?” the singer, 20, asked the struggling concertgoer in a clip that’s gone viral on social media.

Eilish, who has been traveling for her “Happier Than Ever” tour, then asked if there was an inhaler in the room, adding, “Can we grab one?”

A video posted by Instagram fan account Wishyouwerebil also captured the singer comforting fans as the situation played out.

“It’s OK, it’s OK. We got [an inhaler],” she told the crowd. “Guys, give her some time. Don’t crowd. Relax, relax, it’s OK”

Other footage from the concert shows the “Bad Guy” singer asking the fan directly if she had to “come out” and if she was “OK” before blowing a kiss and mouthing, “I love you.”

This isn’t the first time Eilish has paused her performance to make sure her fans were safe and healthy.

The singer stopped her show at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City in September 2021 to ask security to intervene in a situation breaking out in the crowd.

“Security, why aren’t you paying attention?” Eilish yelled into the mic, while pointing directly into the crowd.

It was not clear at the time exactly what was unfolding, but she called out security for their incompetence, saying, “Like, for real. One job, please.”

She again asked if everyone was “OK” before continuing with her show.

Eilish’s proactive approach to making sure her fans are safe during her shows is a refreshing change from other artists who have seemingly ignored the safety of their attendees in the past.

Most recently, Travis Scott was dragged for continuing to perform as things turned deadly at his Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas, last November.

At the time, fans reportedly pleaded for the rapper to stop the show, which left 10 dead. He has since been flooded with lawsuits claiming he is responsible for the tragic deaths.
