Chrishell Stause: Seeing ex Jason Oppenheim is awkward when ‘alcohol is involved’

Chrishell Stause seemed to suggest that she would feel more comfortable filming “Selling Sunset” with her ex-boyfriend Jason Oppenheim if neither of them drank alcohol around each other.

Stause, 40, recently appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” where host Andy Cohen asked the real estate agent, “Is it awkward being around Jason since you guys have broken up?”

Stause then replied, “No,” but added, “Only if alcohol is involved.”

The “Selling Sunset” cast is known for stirring up drama while boozing it up, with several catfights breaking up between the ladies and their bosses throughout the 3 seasons of the Netflix series.

Stause also denied fan theories that she and Oppenheim, 44, fabricated their relationship just to create drama for the show, saying that if that were the case they would have done a much better job hiding their breakup from the press for the sake of the series.

The Netflix stars took their relationship public in July 2021, admitting that they kept their romance private for two months in order to make sure it was the real deal.

But seven months later, the duo split up, with Oppenheim saying they had “different wants regarding a family.”

“While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another,” Oppenheim wrote in a statement to Instagram last December. “She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.”

But they seemed to break up on good terms with her boss adding, “While we have different wants regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for one another. Chrishell is an exceptional human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.”

Stause was previously married to Justin Hartley but he filed for divorce in November 2019. The “This Is Us” actor famously alerted Stause of their separation via text message.

She then had a three-month fling with Keo Motsepe but broke things off in February 2021, accusing him of “love bombing.”

Meanwhile, Oppenheim has history with their “Selling Sunset” star Mary Fitzgerald, who has since wed Romain Bonnet.
