Adele’s diamond ‘engagement ring’ could be worth $1M
“Rumor Has It” Adele’s rocking one seriously huge engagement ring.
The 34-year-old Grammy winner sparked speculation that she and boyfriend Rich Paul might be betrothed during her latest Las Vegas show, during which she was seen wearing a stunning pear-shaped sparkler by celebrity favorite Lorraine Schwartz on that finger.
It’s worth noting that this particular bling isn’t brand-new; Adele first fueled engagement rumors with the ring at the 2022 Brit Awards last February, where she paired it with a black velvet Armani Privé gown.
At the time, the Lorraine Schwartz team told Page Six Style that the songstress’ matching earrings for the Brits, which featured both pear- and emerald-cut stones, weighed in at a whopping 50 carats — but declined to share further info on her ring.
So we consulted our trusty gem experts, one of whom told us Adele’s rock could be worth “close to the $1 million mark.”
“This one looks sparkly on all fronts, and makes us believe it would be very high quality indeed,” said Rare Carat COO Apeksha Kothari, who estimated the stone at 10 carats.
Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, agreed that Adele’s “gargantuan” ring is “at least 10 carats,” telling us, “There’s no doubt that finding a fancy cut diamond of this size took lots of time and careful selection.”
Olivia Landau, GIA-certified gemologist and founder of The Clear Cut, shared a slightly more conservative estimate.
“Her stone looks to be about 5 to 7 carats in size,” Landau told us at the time, adding that the diamond appears to be set on a skinny pavé band.
“Depending on the quality, a similar ring could range from $250,000 to $500,000.”
While Adele presumably returned her diamond drop earrings after the Brit Awards, she was still wearing the ring during her appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” several days later, but wouldn’t confirm or deny that she and Paul are engaged.
“If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?” she teased.
Lorraine Schwartz has created some of the most spectacular engagement rings in Hollywood over the years. Who could forget the 15-carat, $2 million sparkler Kanye West used to propose to Kim Kardashian in 2013? Or Beyoncé’s 18-carat emerald-cut rock from husband Jay-Z, reportedly worth $5 million?
If Adele’s new ring is in fact from sports agent Paul, whom she’s been dating for about two years, then she’s certainly in good company.
