Wolfgang Van Halen is relieved Kylie Jenner changed her son’s name
Wolfgang Van Halen is howling from the rooftops.
The son of Eddie Van Halen breathed a sigh of relief after Kylie Jenner announced that she and Travis Scott are changing their son’s name from Wolf to something else.
“THANK F–K,” the 31-year-old, who performs as Wolfgang but goes by Wolf on social media, tweeted Monday in response to an article about the baby’s name switch.
Several fans joined Wolfgang in finding humor in the news.
“As someone impacted by a Kardashian naming their child, Mason, I can appreciate this wholly!” one person commented, referring to Jenner’s half-sister Kourtney Kardashian’s eldest son.
“Geez. Didn’t think you copyrighted the name Wolf. I guess I should change my cats name,” a second fan quipped.
“They changed his name to Van Halen,” another joked.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 24, announced that her son’s name would no longer be Wolf in a post to her Instagram Story Monday.
“FYI OUR SONS NAME ISN’T WOLF ANYMORE. WE JUST REALLY DIDN’T FEEL LIKE IT WAS HIM,” she wrote, adding, “JUST WANTED TO SHARE BECAUSE I KEEP SEEING WOLF EVERYWHERE.”
She did not, however, disclose the new name of her son.
Jenner shared the update after posting a YouTube video featuring an intimate look at the moments leading up to her baby boy’s Feb. 2 birth.
The reality star confirmed she was pregnant and expecting her second child with Scott, 30, in September, a month after Page Six broke the news. She then made several appearances with her baby bump on display in eye-catching maternity looks.
Jenner recently opened up about struggling with postpartum life, saying it has been “very hard” and difficult for her “mentally, physically, [and] spiritually.”
The “Kardashians” star and the rapper, who have been dating on and off since 2017, are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Stormi. They welcomed Stormi in February 2018 after keeping Jenner’s pregnancy a secret.
