Madonna and son David show off matching tattoos

It’s a family affair.

On Monday, Madonna posted a photo to her Instagram Stories showing off her and son David’s matching tattoos of the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

While the Queen of Pop, 63, actually inked the geometric design on her wrist in March, her 16-year-old now has an identical tat in the same spot.

Madonna also shared a snap of David with his arm on the table before the piece was made permanent.

She couldn’t resist the opportunity to add some new body art of her own, either, opting for the word “maman” — French for “mother” — in a red gothic font on her other wrist.

“I’m doing this for my mother,” she explained in an Instagram video, also posted Monday. “Because when you give birth, what do you do? You bleed. This is all connected.”

Madonna’s mother, also named Madonna, died of breast cancer when the singer was only 5 years old.

“I can’t put my mother’s name, because it’s the same as mine,” she joked to David. “It would look like I put my own damn name on my arm!”

Continued the superstar, “My mother bled for me, so I’m bleeding for her. It’s a family affair.”

The “Like a Prayer” crooner — who shocked fans with an “unsettling” TikTok ahead of Sunday’s Grammys — only got her first tattoo in 2020, inking her six kids’ initials on her wrist.

Since then, she’s added several more, including the Hebrew word for “kissed” and an “X” as a nod to her “Madame X” album.
