Kevin Federline congratulates ex Britney Spears on pregnancy with Sam Asghari
One big, happy blended family.
Kevin Federline wishes his ex-wife Britney Spears and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, well following the news that the couple are expecting their first child together.
“He wishes her the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they plan for the excitement of parenthood together,” the former backup dancer’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told NBC News Monday.
Federline, 44, was married to Spears, 40, from 2004 to 2007 and shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with the pop icon.
The exes currently have a 70-30 custody agreement in the DJ’s favor, although Kaplan exclusively told Page Six in October 2021, “Britney and Kevin haven’t been exercising custody pursuant to the order — it’s sort of been what they agree to.”
Federline has four additional children from other relationships: 19-year-old daughter Kori and 17-year-old son Kaleb, whom he shares with ex-fiancée Shar Jackson, and 10-year-old daughter Jordan and 8-year-old daughter Peyton with current wife Victoria Prince.
Spears’ child with Asghari will be her third and the personal trainer’s first.
Aside from Federline, Spears’ celebrity pals have also sent their congrats on social media.
Paris Hilton, who has been friends with the “Toxic” singer since the mid-2000s, tweeted Monday, “So happy for you sis! 👑 @BritneySpears 😍👸🏼 You are an incredible mother and cannot wait for your new baby on the way! 🥰❤️.”
Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea, who collaborated with Spears on 2015’s “Pretty Girls,” commented on Instagram with the “🥳” emoji.
The “Piece of Me” singer shocked fans Monday afternoon by announcing on Instagram, “So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼.”
Asghari, 28, later confirmed the happy news with his own post. He captioned a photo of a lion, lioness and their cub, “Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do🙏”
The couple met in 2016 on the set of Spears’ music video “Slumber Party.” Asghari then proposed in September 2021 after nearly five years of dating.
During a tropical trip in February, the hot duo shared a PDA-packed video, prompting one follower to write, “Baby making 👶🏻,” with a second adding, “Yaaas make babies!!!”
The pair have each expressed a desire to share a family together.
In November 2021, after her nearly 14-year conservatorship ended, Spears told her fans on Instagram, “I’m thinking about having another baby !!! I wonder if this one is a girl … she’s on her toes reaching for something … that’s for sure 🐣🙊💋💅🏼 !!!!”
