‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast feels forced to pick ‘sides’ amid Tom and Katie’s divorce

“Vanderpump Rules” stars are feeling divided over Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney’s divorce.

“I feel like with Tom and Katie, they do expect [people to pick] sides, unfortunately,” Raquel Leviss told Page Six at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s sixth annual World Dog Day in West Hollywood, Calif., on Saturday.

“It has [changed the dynamic], yeah. It seems that way, anyway – even though I’m friends with both of them.”

When we asked Leviss, 27, whether she got that impression more from Schwartz, 39, or Maloney, 35, she replied, “Personally, I don’t get that vibe, but Scheana [Shay] does, so you should ask her.”

Shay, 37, was at the event alongside fiancé Brock Davies and their 1-year-old daughter, Summer Moon. However, the couple did not walk the pink carpet.

Also in attendance were Schwartz and Maloney, who crossed paths briefly but otherwise enjoyed the event separately. They, too, steered clear of reporters during the outing.

Meanwhile, Lisa Vanderpump spoke to Page Six about how Schwartz has been holding up since Maloney filed for divorce in March.

“I think you’ll see there have been some tough moments,” she lamented, teasing the forthcoming season of “Vanderpump Rules.”

“The thing with this cast is, they’re very open emotionally. Maybe it’s because they’ve kind of grown up with the cameras, you know? It’s been 10 years,” she went on. “They’re very relaxed about sharing their lives. I think that makes for fascinating television. It’s people’s journeys, and this is a journey a lot of people relate to as well.”

Vanderpump – who officiated the pair’s wedding ceremony in August 2016 – added that she’d “much rather” see them stay together.

“But who knows? Maybe the fat lady hasn’t sung yet,” the reality star, 61, said.

Though filming has not yet begun for Season 10 of the Bravo series, Vanderpump teased that viewers should expect “a lot of change.”

“It’s always moving. I don’t think any season would give exactly the same show because there’s so many moving parts, and things change,” she told us. “There’s been a lot of change, you know, with Raquel and James [Kennedy], and Tom and Katie. There’s a lot of pieces to the puzzle.”

Another major “Pump Rules” breakup took place during last year’s Season 9 reunion, when Leviss took off the engagement ring Kennedy, 30, proposed to her with in May 2021 and gave it back to him, calling off their relationship altogether.

When we asked whether Kennedy was still working at SUR, Vanderpump told us, “Oh, of course!”

“Is he?!” Leviss blurted out when we brought up her ex’s employment status. “Oh, yeah, as a DJ. I forgot. I don’t work on Tuesdays.”
